Science
This is my 15th year teaching middle school science.I taught for 2 years in New York and the rest of the time in NC. I helped open RMS and this will be my 8th year teaching here. I am from Suffern, NY a suburb of New York City. I went to Clemson University, and graduated with BS in Nutrition and Food Science. I then received my Masters in education from Long Island University. I am married to a wonderful man and we have an 8 year old son, a 6 year old daughter who attend Harris Creek Elementary and a 4 year old son who is in preschool. They keep me very busy. I love doing experiments and learning about what is going on in the world of science. I hope to make science enjoyable for every student.

Language Arts
I have been a teacher for eighteen years, fifteen of those have been in Wake County. In Wake County, I taught at Lead Mine Elementary, Harris Creek Elementary, and now Rolesville Middle School. I attended Arizona State University (Go Sun Devils!), then when I moved to North Carolina I became a National Boards Certified Teacher. I love teaching and using technology to prepare students to be productive in our ever changing world. I have been married for 20 years. My husband and I have three children - a daughter who is a sophomore at Liberty University, a son who is a senior at Rolesville High School, and another daughter who is a seventh grader here at Rolesville Middle. In my spare time I love to read, watch movies, do yoga and go to the beach.

Welcome to 6th grade! I am excited to be your math teacher this year! I am originally from upstate NY and relocated to NC after college. I have been teaching for WCPSS for 15 years. My bachelor's degree is in Elementary Education from SUNY Oswego. I taught 4th grade for 8 years and then became a math intervention teacher for K-5. I then recently moved to Rolesville Middle School three years ago and began teaching math. I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Math and Literacy Education from Walden University. I earned my National Board Certification in 2011 as a generalist in the Middle Age Education. I live with my husband of seven years and my very active 5 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. I love math and really want students to be able to know and understand how vital mathematics will be in their everyday lives!

I grew up in Southern California going to the beach, playing tennis, soccer and baseball. I graduated from Long Beach State University with a degree in History. I moved to Florida, went to law school, and decided to be a teacher. My teaching career started with Eckerd Youth Alternatives, a residential, wilderness school. In addition to history I taught my students how to hike, canoe, traverse a ropes course, and to appropriately deal with real life problems. During this time I earned my Masters Degree in Special Education, and after 10 years of creating new positions, programs, and camps with Eckerd I joined the Wake County Public School System. My first school was Leesville High School where I was a special education teacher and tennis coach for 7 years. I transferred to Heritage Middle School and continued to teach special education for 4 more great years. This is my seventh year at Rolesville Middle School as a Social Studies teacher and look forward to sharing my experiences and passion for history with your kids.
I am married to a teacher, and I have three great kids; an older son who runs the pro shop at Raleigh Racquet Club and a freshman at Heritage High and a sixth grader at Rolesville Middle School. For fun I play and teach tennis, and squeeze in a little golf every now and then.
